Explore the prehistoric Bø

The name Bø is first mentioned, one time in the 1500-hundreds. A lot of Places in Norway is named Bø, in most cases large and Family owned farms, probably the oldest settlements we have. We know for sure that this is the case for Our village, because here you will find Rich trails from older settlements. Not the least by the iron age farms Sletten and Bakken. If you go up to these farms, you will find a Collection With Dwellings, stone fences, cairns, and burial Mounds. These are traces after a viable society which has existed for more than 2000 years.
